Vela Aruba College of Windsurfing

Our Aruba school is without question one of the best in the world. All instructors are highly trained, each with years of teaching experience. Group lessons ranging from first-time beginners to advanced sailing are available on a daily basis. All lessons are scheduled and paid for on-site. Lesson are taught at 9:30am, 11:00am, 2:00pm, and 3:30pm

Pre-booked Beginner Program:
If you are pre-booked on the Vela discounted Beginner Program, you will have use of our novice equipment and receive one beginner lesson that covers first day basic sailing skills. Additional beginner lessons covering Beach Starts and Harness Use are available and encouraged.(If you are not pre-booked on the discounted Beginner Program, you may purchase Beginner lessons on-site and rent equipment as desired).

Lesson Package:
You may purchase a series of group lessons at a discounted rate. 5 Group Lessons: Cost $200 (save $50) Please note all lessons are subject to instructor availability. All lessons are scheduled and paid for prior to the lesson. Prices on lessons and board rental may be subject to change

Lesson Prices:

  • Beginner group lessons: 1 hour instruction, 1 hour equipment rental afterwards $60.00
  • Group lessons: 1 hour class time, equipment not included. 4 students max. $50.00
  • Private Lessons: 1 hour personalized instruction, equipment not included $125 /hr
  • Semi-Private Lessons (2 people): 1 hour personalized instruction, equipment not included, 2 people max. $150 /hr
  • 5-Lesson Package: good for 5 group lessons. $200.00
