A SPECIAL NOTE FROM MATT PRITCHARD...

Just wanted to say hi and let you know that we are all set up for another awesome clinic at Vela Baja- warm, windy and sunny days are (hopefully) waiting for us! The dates this season will be January 17-22, 2011... immediately following the Lord of the Winds Showdown (January 12-16, 2011)

We are going to be going over basically all aspects of sailing from novice up to advanced. We will work on perfecting your gybes, mastering your jumps and improving your all- round sailing style! We had tons of fun last year and this year should be even better!

NEWS: THE RETURN OF THE MATT PRITCHARD CLINIG @ VELA BAJA, JANUARY 17-22, 2011!

This will be the 3rd-annual clinic with Pro windsurfer, US-10, Matt Pritchard! Matt is very excited about his return to Los Barriles a place where he and his brother, Kevin, spent much time sailing as teenagers.

Matt will be at your disposal to teach skills from the proper stance, executing a perfectly smooth jibe to that freestyle move you've always wanted to learn! Your mornings will be filled with on-land clinics then Matt will sail with you, analyzing and fine tuning your skills while giving immediate feedback. After sailing, everyone will enjoy a well deserved margarita at the palapa bar!

Morning classes are generally 1.5 hours of lecture followed by a Question & Answer period with land simulator work. Then it’s time to get your gear ready and Matt will walk you through the maneuvers you are ready to learn. This gives him personal time with you on land before hitting the water.

Once the wind is up, Matt will sail with you, individually, while analyzing your performance and offering on the water feedback. Matt has been teaching for many and has an excellent feel for what each person requires to get them to "figure it out". Video review throughout the week will also give you more insight and feedback to enhance your sailing and speed up your learning curve.

So, if you’ve always wanted to learn to loop, finally get that short board tack down or rip into a jibe like a pro, this is the clinic for you!
