Vela Icaraizinho offers you nothing less than "the best" - with a beachfront center loaded with the latest gear from the lineup of 2011 and 2010 model Starboard & JP boards and Neilpryde rigs. Note that we use a mix of equipment from the 2 years  because of the time of year when our high season falls. Our equipment is maintained to the highest standard by our own in-house team of board and sail repair specialists ... we believe some of the best in the world ... so come and experience a new level of windsurf center in Jericaocoara!

New for 2011, we have introduced a "PRO UPGRADE" for those who want to take their windsurfing experience to the next level. "Going Pro" gives you access to Pro Edition boards and rigs with RDM masts and Hybrid carbon booms! Our regular rentals will be known as "VACATION" and simply restricts use of the Pro level upgrades. Our VACATION rental fleet is hand picked from the best shapes around: JP, Starboard and Neil Pryde have time and again impressed our customers with their ease of use and progressive shapes! Whatever your choice; your enjoyment is limitless as we ensure the equipment is well maintained and staff are on hand to help find the best kit solution for your needs!

BOARD CATEGORIES

Like all other Vela centers, rather than booking a fixed board, where you would have to guess, before knowing the spot and the conditions which is the best board for you, we reserve by category, which allows you to try several boards on your vacation, and use the model that suits your preference, and you will also be able to shift to more radical boards as your skills develop on the constant winds and easy waves off the reef at Icaraizinho. We always reserve less people than our inventory in each category, to guarantee that there will always be enough equipment for all pre-booked clients. Boards are divided in three categories according to their volume, with a color code to make it easier for you to choose a board from the rack.

TANDEM BOARD

The Gemini is the world's only widestyle tandem board. It reveals more performance and brings more fun than you can imagine. A windsurfer can invite anyone on board. Share a great moment with your child, your dog, your friends.

NEILPRYDE SAILS

We have selected from the Neilpryde range the models and sizes that better perform in the sailing conditions of Jericoacoara. All carefully rigged and tuned for optimum performance.

- Models:  The Fly, Zone, Combat, Alpha, Firefly, Excess, Hellcat, size start from 3.3 to 8.2.
- All sails are rigged on Neilpryde X3 mast and X6 boom with Vario Harness Line.
