Kiteboarding Lessons

All lessons come with equipment and will be taught in a private one-on-one format suited to your needs. If you have already booked time in advance please make sure to check-in at the Vela Margarita center either at 09:30 the day of your first lesson or anytime the day before your lesson to reconfirm start-times. As of the 2009/2010 season all lessons are scheduled to take place in El Yaque. We do recommend booking lessons in advance to guarantee availability on the schedule, but welcome walk-up students to get into the program once you are there.

Programs are based on planning to take sets of 2-hour lessons, depending on your starting skill level and overall ambitions for the trip. Each lesson is boat-supervised with 2 students per instructor and includes all gear during instruction time.

Pricing starts at $450 (6 Hours), $645 (10 Hours) or $750 (14 Hours).

Kiteboarding Equipment

Dare2Fly, our integrated Vela kiteboarding school is powered by the latest Cabrinha equipment. Gear is included with all lessons but there is no rental fleet available at this time.

Bring Your Own Gear?

We invite and encourage experienced kiters to bring their own gear along. Without taking lessons, this may be the only way to kitesurf in Margarita, and there is plenty of space on the water for you to try out your skills. Make sure to bring extra lines and patch-kits with you.
