The Aruba Hi-Winds was first organized in June 1987. This year the 21th anniversary of Aruba Hi-Winds will be celebrated at the Fisherman’s Huts. The organizing committee plans to make it another sportive festival during the day, including Freestyle Windsurfing and Kiteboarding, then all-out partying during the cool evenings.

The Butterfly Effect began in Hawaii in 2007. Since then it has flown to Brazil, New Zealand, and Australia for group surf sessions and clinics in windsurfing, stand-up paddle, and kiting. Each gathering also includes safety and stretching sessions, as well as food and gear from local sponsors and fundraising for local charities. Hundreds of women around the world have already participated in these free, fun and non-competitive gatherings.
