Note that all package rates are PER PERSON based on room occupancy, representing a 7-Night stay with 7-Days windsurf rental, accommodations and all hotel taxes (prices for Maui include car rental). Note that they do not include airfare, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF the connecting flights within Venezuela for MARGARITA, COCHE, AND LOS ROQUES. Some packages incorporate hotels which include breakfast or meals as well as additional services, though this may not be listed in the details on the "Sample Prices" pages. All prices are in US Dollars. Please call for prices on longer/shorter stays and for your actual travel dates as prices may vary depending on actual travel dates. BEGINNER PROGRAM DEDUCTION
Vela offers a special beginners program in Aruba, Cabarete, Margarita, and Los Roques, which includes one free introductory lesson and use of beginner equipment at a $100 discount from the normal rental price. For Baja, Coche, Icaraizinho, Jericoacoara, and Maui, the beginner lesson programs include equipment during instruction.

MAUI NOTES
A) Additional driver fee and state-imposed taxes are not included. B) Call for lower Triple/Quad rates in a one bedroom. C) Single/ Double rates include Compact 4-door car. Triple/Quad rates include Midsize car. Call for prices for upgrades including Convertibles, Jeeps, SUV's and Mini-Vans.

NON-SAILING CHILDREN
Children under 12 are usually free in hotels, although there may be a small fee at some hotels that include meals. Please inquire about each specific property.

SAILING CHILDREN
New for the 2009 season, Vela Cabarete and Vela Margarita are offering "Kids Sail Free" allowing one child 12 and under FREE USE of windsurf equipment. One free child with each paid adult rental, only available when pre-booked in advance with our central reservations office.

GROUPS
Groups of 10 or more may be eligible for special discounts. Call our group department at (800) 223-5443 ext. 253 for details and restrictions.

ALL LOCATIONS
Prepaid equipment may be used during our regular business hours. The equipment prices included are based on the number of sailing days likely for each destination’s air service arrivals and departures. You may want an extra day of sailing if your flights allow it.

EQUIPMENT ONLY
Those only interested in the equipment portion of our vacations may prepay “Equipment Only” to ensure availability, however, during various travel periods and at some destinations equipment rental is reserved ONLY for Complete Package bookings including accommodations.

PUNTA SAN CARLOS
Note that there isn't a NO GEAR deduction for non-sailors going to Punta San Carlos at SoloSports. Although basic windsurf gear is included in the base price, most guests choose the $300 per person upgrade to the Demo Gear option, giving you full access to the entire fleet.
