As if miles and miles and beachs,
incredible winds, an energetic multi-national group
of visitors, and an unbelievable setting wasn't enough,
there are loads of activities to get into in Jeri. Here
is a snapshot of what's available:
DUNE BUGGY TOURS
Travel to fresh water lagoons through the dunes or along
long stretches of deserted beach. (Lagoa Paraiso, Azul
or Tatajuba)
CAPOEIRA
You will find capoeira lessons every day on the beach.
When? Early in the morning and by the end of the afternoon.
Capoeira is a martial art that was disguised as a dance
by slaves from Angola and other African countries during
the slave trade who were forced to conceal their ceaseless
desire for freedom. After sunset, things really get
lively. There are several restaurants and bars, which
offer live music, dance, reggae and forro, the typical
dance music from the northeast region. Of course, if
you prefer the peace and tranquility of nature there
are many quiet places to enjoy the star filled sky
HORSEBACK RIDING
Arrange your horse back riding tour at the Association
close to the sunset dune . It is best to go in the early
morning or late afternoon as those are the coolest hours.
There are several nice tours around the village.
SAND BORDING
If you wanna surf the dunes, ask for a sandboard at
the reception and have some fun!
NIGHT LIFE
If you have energy left after an inevitably epic day
on the water, there is a seriously lively nightlife
in Jeri, which includes a handful of bars, clubs and
forró dancehalls where you can dance until the
roosters' crow. Simply walk to the bottom of Main Street
around midnight and you'll find things just getting
into gear. Sample one of the many cocktails shaken,
stirred and served up at the several drink stands that
line the street. A fresh caipirinha or capeta will quickly
get you in the mood to groove.
