Vela distributes Dasher's
12 Step Jibe DVD
After the
success of his 'Learn to Waterstart' video/dvd , Dasher
now tackles the one move that all windsurfers recognize
as the biggest challenge in windsurfing - the carve
jibe.
The one moment that most advanced windsurfers typically
name as their most memorable moment on a windsurf
board is the first time they ever planed out of a
jibe. In the history of our sport, there has never
been a clearer step-by-step analysis of this maneuver
available. The 12 Step Jibe will
help you grasp the logic of the jibe theory and it
will build your confidence and understanding every
step of the way.
The waterstart video is also still in stock and will be available in DVD format soon.
E-mail us at info@velawindsurf.com or call us at 1(800)223-5443 today to order your copy.
Here is a sample of the feedback we've been receiving:
"This is unbelievably easy to understand and apply. The technology is great, really great, but the forethought that went into the details of this unbelievably easy to understand teaching tool is truly amazing. There are many jibe videos out there but you did it right. That is why your waterstart video is so effective. You give anyone the opportunity to go "back to the drawing board" after failed attempts knowing that the answer is right there and easy to find. I've never completed a planing jibe, but I'm willing to bet that I will complete not only one but several in my next few windy days. Why? Simply because, as in the waterstart video, I can do important moves in the living room or on dry land and have the "feel" down before even hitting the water. THANK YOU!! I'll write again as soon as I get back from the lake. " - Tony Hicks

Going into its seventh year, Vela Aruba's kiting program

windsurfer traffic, lessons are taught in the early
morning or late afternoon so the entire Fisherman's
Huts area is your private tea cup (beginning kiters
are often referred to as tea bags). Vela also provides
a chase boat for every lesson, providing an additional
layer of safety while learning to kiteboard in Aruba's
80 degree turquoise waters. Our instructor Mike is
well known to be Aruba's most enthusiastic, professional
and safety conscious kite instructor. Aruba has some
incredible conditions for advanced kiters as well
so if you want to combine your windsurf vacation with
some kiting road trips, bring your gear and the Vela
staff will tell you all about some incredible spots,
or sign up for our LAUNCH & LAND program to get
out to the kite zone.
